Post some words of wisdom that speak to you.
I just finished reading the book One More Step by Rachel Wojo. It is full of practical lessons to handle the stuff that we deal with in our lives. She made the following point:
If we trust God for eternal salvation, then let’s trust Him for everyday solutions!
Simple, right?
Our lives are separated into two sections, one part being the stuff that we think God cares about (because they are monumental and need big fixes), and the other part that He shouldn’t be bothered with knowing. Why would we make that distinction? Problems are problems, no matter what size they are. We still need solutions for the little issues. Why can’t we ask for help?
Maybe it has to do with the fact that it is difficult to give up control. We want to be in charge of our lives as much as possible. We don’t like to rely on others for guidance and assistance because that would be admitting we don’t have the answers. Another reason could be that we don’t trust other people to have the best intentions for us. They might not know what’s best for our circumstances.
It’s funny how hard it is for us to trust someone that will never let us down. God has amazing plans for us. He knows what’s best and knows when to give the blessings that we need. We simply need to believe that He cares about every single aspect of our lives. We matter to Him.
Is it time for you to let go?
Well said.
I guess I have to be reminded every day and I need to get to the point where I let this become my automatic reaction because I fully trust Him.
